My first time here and I love your blog. I love books,so reading is a hoot for me.I know you are suppose to read good classical types but weread for fun mostly.We love Hank the Cowdog...so funny.Eragon was great, as well as the Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe.Heidi, theFamily Under the Bridge, Farmer Boy,and some of the Janette Oke books they are great for time period.The Cay was really great too.
Thank you Leena! We also read A LOT of books that wouldn't be considered anywhere near classical. :) That is part of the fun! Plus, I believe that a good writer has to have access to all types of literature (within reason, of course) to become a well-rounded writer/learner.
We also loved Family Under the Bridge and Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe. We are actually planning a study of the last one this year.
